God's Will

Over the next few years, I realized that God was not revealing his BIG plan but he was revealing my next step. Yes, I was still searching for His will in my life, not wanting to ‘miss it.’ I was concerned about walking according to His word and His plan but somewhere along the way, I stopped looking for God to reveal the BIG plan for me.

Follow the Leader

Sometimes, as we go our own way, doing our own thing, we forget to play ‘Follow the Leader.’ We don’t ask our heavenly Father for direction and don’t look to Him for guidance. Our leader does not try to get us to mess up and eliminate us from the game. He does not intentionally make things difficult but does want us to test our following skills so that we can become more like HIM. Instead of following Him and His example, we start following the followers.

They would walk into a crisis, often of their own making. They would call on God and repent for their actions. God would intervene and save them. They would live according to the laws of God and then they would fall back into a crisis because of their sin. The pattern would continue. Generation after generation followed the same course.

Although I have read and even quoted this scripture, many times, today it seems more poignant. Whenever I read a scripture that specifically touches my heart, I ask myself the question, “What do I need to learn from this?”
